Off-roading is tricky at best. It is all about knowing your vehicles capabilities and the terrain you are driving through. Unless you had been there before, how would you know how deep the water was? That is why you do a recce first. And take supplies with you in case you get stuck! Like they say in the Army.....failing to plan is planning to fail.
