Good Morning,
After a good nights sleep, the first thought that came to my mind was that you should be congratulating yourself for even recognizing the potential and jumping online the first place. If there’s one thing and I found most important about the seminar over the weekend is you need to look and think six months to two years ahead of time.
Where will the Internet be? What is the latest craze? The common denominators that I saw with all the successful Internet marketers that were present at the 2007-figure business were, and you might want to write this down somewhere because I surely have:
1. They all to become successful had a mentor and spent money on their education.
2. They all surrounded themselves with people that were more successful than they or could make things happen for them.
3. Never share your ideas or take financial advice from someone who is not more successful than you are.
4. They were all visionaries, and created products before a craze hit.
Every single person at the seminar had someone who was their educator or mentor before they became successful. It only makes sense. If you can avoid pitfalls, mistakes, and errors others have made before you, your rise to success will be much quicker.
As you know, my goal is to take kiosk.WS and hotconference.com to a Fortune 100 company in the next couple of years. Would my next door neighbor give me the correct advice on how to get their? Or should I be taking the advice and learning from somebody who has already been there?
So, based on that statement, start saving some money to network at some sort of Internet marketing event. I’m even considering putting on the kiosk.WS and hotconference.com Disney Cruise next February.
I don’t know about you, but when I started my business I always wanted the validation of my ideas from the people that were closest to me in my family. This was by far, one of the most critical errors I could have ever made. Not that I don’t love my family to death, and not that it makes me right or them wrong, but again never share your ideas or take financial advice from somebody who is not making more money than you are.
People are where they are in their financial lives because of a set of structural beliefs. If somebody has been conservative at best, “get a good education, get a good job, save your money, and hopefully retire happy” was sort of the unwritten motto in my family. No one in my family before me was running a company making millions of dollars per year, so ofcoures, based on their “structural beliefs” I was always getting in over my head, no matter how good the idea was.
So what is the moral of this story? Again, save some money, and get to an Internet marketing event where you can share your ideas with others who can make things happen. You will not get this type of quality information by e-mail or in any form of cyberspace.
Finally, there is another myth that says “work hard now and eventually the success will come.” Looking back, that statement is true but also untrue.
What do I mean by that?
My success took two years in the making. Why? Because I was making so many silly mistakes that it took two years to recognize I was making mistakes.
Once I realized that I needed a unique product to become successful, success came very quickly indeed. What was my product? How did I pierce into the marketplace of webhosting when it was considered to be a saturated service? Well, I didn’t actually have /”>generic brand propecia a unique product. But what I was able to do was combine two different products into one to make a unique product.
I was the very first Web host on the Internet who not only welcomed ffa (free for all) leads and safelists, but provided these tools if you decided to host your web site with me.
Once this was set up, literally within days and possibly even hours, I went from 200 local customers hosting with Kiosk.WS to 600 new clients. That was a 300% growth curve. Think about it, what took me 200 clients to build, over two year time span was matched and exceeded in 24 hours. Simply because I was solving a problem and providing something extremely unique on the Internet.
One of the biggest and next crazes is to hit the Internet was and still continues to be is real-time communications. Known as Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP). Now, hotconference.com in my business model came before the VoIP one to one phone on purpose. I knew even within the starting phases of beta testing of hotconference.com that eventually all the big players in the Internet service providing industry such as Cox, Rogers, MCI, Sprint, and many others would be providing home phone service to their already existing client base.
However, unlike the one to one solutions, there still continues to only be a small handful that are providing unlimited seating VoIP conference solutions.
Make sense? A much smaller market yes, but one that may never be touched by the “big boys”
Here is a small hint of things to come, we are now molding Hotconference.com into a new product, that will be one of our first mass market products ever. I’m even in the first stage of talks with QVC, the home shopping network!
I sincerely hope that you take some of the information that I provided here and actually put into action. Because this advice comes not only from myself but also from collectively the billion dollars of success that I networked with over the weekend.
